It didn’t take long for the White House Heritage volleyball team to defeat crosstown rival White House Thursday night.
The Lady Patriots took the match in straight sets by scores of 25-21, 25-11 and 25-19. It was their second win over White House this season.
Heritage beat Macon County Tuesday but fell to Hendersonville 3-1 Wednesday. The victory over White House gives Heritage a first-round bye for the District 10-AA tournament.
“The girls were ready to end the week on a high note,” Heritage coach Brandon Niblock said. “They came in as ready to play as I’ve ever seen them and won a rivalry match against a scrappy White House team.”
Junior Ashleigh Shores contributed 13 of Heritage’s 28 kills. She also had 10 digs and three aces.
Olivia Risden chipped in five kills, while MC Abell, Sonya Banker and Chloe Pentecost each finished with three. Setter Mackenzie Geer had 24 of the team’s 25 assists.
