Taylor won his first match in the 16 man bracket against Oakland. He fell to Ravenwood in the second round bumping him out of contention for first. In his next two rounds he pinned the freshmen from Battle Ground Academy and Green Hills. Round five he won due to forfeit. Going into the final round for 3rd, his opponent from West Creek had already wrestled 5 rounds and had to forfeit. Taylor was disappointed with the forfeits, but only lost one match all day.
