The Connection has selected its 2020 All-Robertson County football team.

Springfield led the way with 14 selections after finishing with a 10-2 record. Senior quarterback Kevontez Hudson earned Player of the Year for the second consecutive season. Senior defensive lineman Kamrin Garrett was named Defensive Player of the Year.

White House Heritage had 10 players selected, including Offensive Player of the Year Jackson Mapes.

The All-Robertson County team is composed of players from East Robertson, Greenbrier, Jo Byrns, Springfield and White House Heritage.

Offensive Player of the Year: RB Jackson Mapes, White House Heritage senior

Stats: All-Region 5-4A, 135 carries, 742 yards, 12 TD

For the Heritage senior, this season was a whirlwind. He battled through a car accident and COVID-19 contact tracing in the middle of the season. In his first game back against district-opponent Portland, he managed to find the end zone six times. Mapes is a bruiser, standing at only 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 215 pounds. He proved unstoppable in certain moments, carrying defenders and powering through holes.
